Evanthia Sakellari

Evanthia Sakellari is a Professor of “Community Health with an emphasis on Mental Health Promotion in the School Environment” at the Department of Public and Community Health, University of West Attica (UNIWA). She completed her Master’s and PhD studies in Finland, at the University of Kuopio and the University of Turku, respectively. She is a member of the Laboratory of Hygiene and Epidemiology at UNIWA where she has the scientific responsibility of the Special Academic Unit for Health Promotion. Her main research interests include the design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive (mental) health promotion interventions aiming at improving different population groups’ health, with the ultimate goal of reducing health inequalities. She has rich research experience and serves as the PI of European-funded projects. She has published articles in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and book chapters, and she has presented her work at national and international conferences and other scientific events.
